TFF: FEST FUN WITHOUT FILM

THERE’S more than movies to be enjoyed at the Tribeca Film Festival.

TFF drive-in

It’s NYC so you don’t need a car to enjoy the drive-in, basically free outdoor screenings that play tonight through Saturday at dusk (approximately 8:15 p.m.). Snuggle up under the stars starting at 6, bring some snacks, get your face painted and watch “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and “P-Star Rising” at the World Financial Center Plaza. The Turtles will make an appearance at tonight’s screening, so watch out for the manhole covers.

TFF street fair

Normally we hate street fairs — tube socks! mozzarepas! other crap! — but this one has a reason for being. And it has Shrek. The great green monster will be at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center at noon, but the free fair, on Greenwich Street between Hubert and Chambers streets, goes on all day, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Other highlights: life-size bubble making in the Bubble Garden.

TFF sports day

Part of the adjunct to TFF and ESPN’s adjunct sports film festival, this is actually kind of cool. On May 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., fans of all ages can participate in sports-related games, clinics and giveaways. Watch a BMX stunt show and stunts of a different sort when the Knicks City Dancers perform. Also catch the other only reason to go see the Knicks: the Knicks City Kids. Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis will make an appearance along with Knicks great — remember when? — John Starks. And don’t forget to snap a photo with Mr. Met!
