WR Austin wants to be wanted

Free agent WR Miles Austin declined to tell the Dallas Morning News whether the Cowboys had started the negotiating process on a long-term deal before the Jets showed interest earlier this week.

“I leave all that to my agent,” the New Jersey native said with a smile. Austin, visiting the Jets tomorrow, said, “There’s a connection to Dallas obviously. You also want to be somewhere they want you, and I think [the Cowboys] do.”

If the Jets sign Austin, a restricted free agent who was tendered by Dallas, the Cowboys would get a second-round draft pick from the Jets.
