FEDEX ELEX GOOF CITED

FedEx somehow botched a routine delivery to the city Board of Elections in Manhattan – and nearly disenfranchised thousands of voters, city probers say.

Elections Director Marcus Cederqvist said records show that someone named Jackson signed for delivery of three boxes containing 3,402 voter-registration forms at 32 Broadway at 2:47 p.m. on Sept. 10.

The only problem: No one at the board is named Jackson.

The missing boxes were discovered on Nov. 12, eight days after the election.

Cederqvist said he ordered that the forms immediately be entered into the official rolls so all those who cast a paper ballot on Election Day would have their votes counted.
