“Slumdog Millionaire” took the New York Film Critics Circle’s award for cinematograpy with 37 points on the third ballot, with “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” garnering 28 points and “The Dark Knight” with 16 points. With three categories so far, the New York critics have lined up with their L.A. counterparts only in choosing Sally Hawkins of “Happy-Go-Lucky” as best actress.
