The sounds of music

Ch. 13 offers a little bit of dance and song tonight, with “Finding Billy Elliot,” a back stage look at the casting of the Broadway musical, airing from 8 to 9:30 p.m. (in-be tween programming breaks).

That’s followed from 9:30-11 by trum peter Chris Botti, who’ll play a special live concert for Ch. 13 viewers.

Not to be outdone, Ch. 13’s sister PBS station, Ch. 21, presents noted saxophonist Dave Koz Wednesday night at 8 in “Lights: Celebrate Ha nukkah Live In Concert,” a high- def special featuring Koz, cantor/tenor Alberto Mizrahi and Joshua Nelson, among others (Hanukkah of ficially begins Dec. 21).

Former “TRL” host Dam ien Fahey, meanwhile, em cees the finale concert of Cosmopolitan magazine’s “StarLaunch” contest Friday at Terminal 5 (W. 56th). The contest, searching for a “female rock star,” will fea ture perform ances from contestants Alexa Wilkinson, Fortune 457 and Mieke Pauley – opening for a concert featuring Natasha Bedingfield and Solange Knowles.

And speaking of musicians, Woody Allen (part-time clari netist, full-time moviemaker) turns 73 today. Is that possible?

Last, but not least:

* ABC Family airs the first four “Harry Potter” movies this weekend – and offers ex clusive peeks at the new movie, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” (opening in July) throughout the weekend.

* Animal Planet’s “Escape to Chimp Eden,” “Whale Wars” and “Untamed and Uncut” will be available on DVD in February.
