LITTLEJOHN IS GUILTY OF KIDNAP

It took a Queens jury less than three hours yesterday to convict a burly ex-bouncer of kidnapping and assaulting a young college student.

Darryl Littlejohn – who, in a unrelated case, also faces trial in the murder and rape of grad student Imette St. Guillen – faces up to 25 years in prison for snatching York College student Shanai Woodard, 19, off a Jamaica street.

Littlejohn, who was dressed like a law-enforcement officer, asked Woodard for ID before handcuffing her and throwing her in his blue van.

A female juror, who asked to remain anonymous, said DNA evidence convinced her the victim had been in the van.

Littlejohn, who sat motionless as the jury forewoman read the verdict, will now head to Brooklyn to answer for the heinous slaying of St. Guillen, a John Jay student.

Defense lawyer Jason Russo said that he would appeal and that his client is “disappointed with the speed in which the jury rendered it’s verdict.”

Russo argued in his closing that the victim described her abductor as a 6-foot, “skinny” man with a moustache and short, cropped hair; his client “is 5-foot-7 and weighs more than 200 pounds.”
