Outspoken actress Lauren Bacall unleashes on Scientology superstar Tom Cruise in a shocking new interview – brandishing him as a “maniac” taking him to task for dumping her pal Nicole Kidman.
“Tom had taken off for Penelope Cruz or some God damn thing – one of his more ridiculous moves,” Bacall told Elle Magazine in an interview for their cover story on Kidman.
The 84-year Hollywood legend said Kidman was “unhappy” after her split with Cruise when they filmed “Dogville” in 2003 together.
“Tom Cruise is a maniac. I can’t understand the way he conducts his life,” Bacall sniffed to the mag.
It’s not the first time the “Big Sleep” stunner lashed out at Suri’s dad.
In 2005, she told Time Magazine, his “whole behavior is so shocking . . . inappropriate and vulgar.”
Kidman had kinder things to say about her ex.
She tells Elle she doesn’t regret her decade-long marriage to Cruise.
“That was an extraordinary thing for me. [Cruise] taught me an enormous amount – as a girl into a woman,” she said. “Absolutely I would do it again.”
The new mom said she believes that Cruise and his younger bride, Katie Holmes, have as strong a connection as she does with her second hubby, country crooner Keith Urban.
“I know he has the same thing with Katie [as she does with Urban]” she said. “You move to stage where you’re able to be a more fuller person in your relationship.”
