PONY UP

One of the Hamptons’ largest – and best-known – tracts of privately held land is now available for $95 million.

Two Trees Farm, the site of the rollicking Bridgehampton Polo Club and its celebrity-studded, champagne-swilling crowd, has just been put on the market by owner David Walentas.

Included in the north-of-the-highway spread are 115 acres – which have preliminary approval for 18 “estate parcels” – as well as two houses, an eight-unit apartment building, three barns, two indoor riding arenas, two polo fields, a pool, a tennis court and many more than just two trees.

When contacted, Corcoran Group listing broker Tim Davis would only say, “It’s the most important equestrian facility on Long Island, or it’s the most unique opportunity for an investor.”

Walentas, reportedly bought 100 acres of the property 15 years ago for $2 million and added more acreage a few years later. He then embarked on a three-year renovation.

Tongues and other appendages have been wagging among the horsey set about the future of the annual six-week Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge, which wouldn’t be allowed to continue under the proposed subdivision plan.

Rich man, Portman

Richard Meier’s transparent West Village tower at 165 Charles St. is losing much of its star power now that Natalie Portman has decided to move.

The diminutive, Oscar-nominated and Harvard-educated actress has put her convertible three-bedroom, three-bath apartment on the market with a $6.55 million asking price.

Featured in the 2,500-square-foot glassy residence are views in three directions that include the Hudson River and the park.

The “Star Wars” siren bought the unit in 2005 for $5.7 million, according to city records. Andy Fink and Nancy Teague of the Corcoran Group have the listing.

Coincidentally, the apartment just below Portman’s is available for a possible duplex combo. The owner, travel-agency executive Michael Holtz, is selling a smaller two-bedroom, two-bath place with 22-foot ceilings for $5 million through broker Wilbur Gonzalez of Brown Harris Stevens.

Scary move-in

Mel B. (aka Melanie Brown or Scary Spice) is looking to give New York a go. Sources tell us the former Spice Girl – and mother of Eddie Murphy’s love child – is negotiating to buy a two-bedroom, 1,800-square-foot apartment with a $2 million price tag at Platinum, the nearly completed Midtown condominium complex on Eighth Avenue and 46th Street.

Buyers at the 43-story tower, scheduled to begin closings in a few weeks, already include Rosie O’Donnell and Elaine Joyce, the wife of Neil Simon.

Can buy me condo

Heather Mills is the proud owner of a Manhattan apartment.

The newly moneyed ex-wife of Paul McCartney has just closed on a full-floor condo at the Richard Meier-designed 173 Perry St. We first reported in June that Mills signed a contract for the two-bedroom apartment for just under the $5 million asking price.

Her final hurdle was passing muster with the condo board, which is chaired by Calvin Klein.

Costas of living

Sports broadcasting machine Bob Costas is now free to move into his new apartment at 15 Central Park West (or to re-list it for $100 million like everyone else seems to be doing) now that he’s sold his swanky Time Warner Center digs across the street.

According to city records, the HBO host who will also be working the 2008 Summer Olympics for NBC, has sold his 61st-floor, three-bedroom apartment in the south tower for $8.5 million. He purchased the unit in 2005 for $4.95 million.
