WAR HERO AS PREZ? NOT IN BUBBA’S BOOK

* The American left’s take on military service vacillates between reverence and revulsion in direct accordance with the experience, or lack thereof, of its presidential candidate (“Bubba’s Smear,” Editorial, July 8).

Since Sen. Barack Obama‘s a lightweight, Bill Clinton, another lightweight, is revisiting the idea that our veterans are either homeless drug addicts or mentally unstable time-bombs.

Shame on him.

* With his sleazy gutter-talk remarks about Sen. John McCain, I’d like to say that Clinton has shamed the office of the presidency – but he’s already done that.

* It’s amazing what Clinton, unfamiliar with the role of loser, will resort to in order to discredit an opponent. He reached an all-time low by deliberately maligning McCain.

If Obama can’t shut him up, Clinton will turn out to be nothing but a liability to the Democratic Party.

Maybe we should let him keep blabbering and, ultimately, give our mentally sound and capable war hero a better chance to win the election.

* Once again, Clinton shows his disdain for the military.

It was bad enough that, as president, he single-handedly tried to dismantle it, but after leaving office he still has no appreciation for the men and women who give him the right to put his foot in his mouth on a regular basis.

His latest comments unfortunately are shared by the Democratic candidate for president. Then again, almost every Democrat feels this way.
