BURKUS, 28 AND PEISER, 27

June 13 – Who says you can’t find love in a bar? Meredith Burkus, formerly a bartender at the Dead Poet on the Upper West Side, hit it off with Jim Peiser, who guest bartended one Sunday. A little over three years later, the Harlem duo wed at the Tribeca Rooftop before 250 guests. “The place looked gorgeous, adorned with beautiful peacock-feather and jewel-tone floral arrangements,” recalls the bride. Burkus, a coordinator in the Partners Program for the Public Theater, and Peiser, a law associate, enjoyed a special cocktail-hour cabaret performance by Broadway cast- member pals.
