The Coen Brothers’ “Burn After Reading” with George Clooney and Brad Pitt, which wasn’t ready in time for Cannes, will debut at the Venice Film Festival on August 27. It opens in the United States on Sept. 12, so don’t be surprised if this comedy makes its North American premiere the first weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival, which had Clooney’s “Michael Clayton” and Pitt’s “The Assassination of Jesse James” last year.
