Peter Gotti says he’s suffering from a list of illnesses long enough to keep a crew of doctors busy for years – but that, mainly, he’s sick of prison.
The brother of the late John Gotti yesterday told a judge that he has glaucoma, gout, sciatica, emphysema, arthritis and more, and would appreciate an early release.
He has served five years of a 91/2-year sentence for shaking down labor unions and businesses, and is eligible for resentencing under recent Supreme Court decisions widening judges’ latitude in deciding prison terms.
But Brooklyn federal Judge Frederic Block said yesterday that he “spent a lot of time trying to come up with the right sentence” the first time around.
And Gotti would still have to serve 25 years for a botched hit on mob rat Salvatore “Sammy Bull” Gravano.
