Jeter out with strained quad

Derek Jeter left tonight’s Yankees-Rays game after the bottom of the second inning with a strained left quadriceps.

Jeter may have injured himself beating out a possible double play in the top of the first. Announcers on YES said it may have been aggravated by the cold weather.

Wilson Betemit, who was playing first base, moved to shortstop, and Morgan Ensberg came in to play first base.
