The Tribeca Film Festival, which lost “Knocked Up” to the hipper South by Southwest last year, has landed another pregnancy comedy from founders Robert DeNiro and Jane Rosenthal’s longtime business associates at Universal Pictures for this year’s opener. “Baby Mama,” starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will premiere on Wednesday April 23, two days before it opens nationwide. Fey stars as an infertile single businesswoman who hires a working class surrogate mother (Poehler). The New York-set comedy, the directing debut of former “Saturday Night Live” writer Michael McCullers, also stars Greg Kinnear, Dax Shephard, Maura Tierney, Holland Taylor and Sigourney Weaver. The premiere will be held at the Ziegfeld, and in a departure from past practice at its opening night, Tribeca is planning to sell tickets to the public.
