Starr Report

Anderson Cooper (L) hosts CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage Monday from Times Square (11 p.m.-12:30 a.m.). Remote concerts feature Earth, Wind & Fire (Vegas) and Wide spread Panic (Atlanta).

And here’s hoping there will be restrooms nearby for John Roberts, who’ll be reporting live from four different diners next week – and likely downing lots of coffee – as he covers the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary for CNN. He’ll be at diners in Iowa City, Des Moines in Iowa and Nashua and Man chester in New Hampshire.

ABC, meanwhile, will host back-to-back, 90-minute Democratic and GOP presidential debates, both from the campus of Saint Anselm College in Manchester, next Saturday (Jan. 5).

The GOP debate (7-to 8:30 p.m.) will be followed by the Democrats (8:45-10:15 p.m.) with Charlie Gibson (R) moderating both debates. He’ll be joined by WMUR’s Scott Spradling.

Last, but not least:

* I’m not so sure I need to see a crab dissected – in high-def, no less – but it’s part of Sunday’s episode of “Pressure Cook” (9:30 p.m./MOJO HD) featuring Ralph Pagano in China’s Macau region.

* Winbigler’s wallbangers: NBC TV Stations VP Tracie Winbigler not thrilled at the Wyndham hotel going up next to her W. 26th St. residence. Construction starts at 7 a.m. daily. How charming.
