BROOKLYN

A Laundromat customer attacked an employee in Bay Ridge after complaining about a broken dryer, authorities said yesterday.

Victor Rojano, 37, began arguing with the employee in the laundry on Fourth Avenue near Senator Street at 1:13 a.m. Monday and vented his anger by kicking a machine, sources said.

Then Rojano turned his wrath on the employee, allegedly punching him in the face and knocking him to the ground.

Then he allegedly struck the victim with a basket, a laundry cart, a broom handle and a metal pipe.

Rojano, was charged with assault. The victim was treated for cuts and bruises at Lutheran Hospital.

Two brothers assaulted a man in a Cypress Hills bar after an argument erupted when one suspect insulted the victim’s girlfriend, authorities said yesterday.

Franklin Espinal, 31, and Leonardo Espinal, 27, clashed with the victim in the bar on Atlantic Avenue and Ashford Street at 2:52 a.m. Sunday, sources said.

Franklin grabbed a bottle of scotch and struck the victim in the head, cops said.

Leonardo allegedly smashed the victim in the face with a wine glass, causing deep cuts. A witness flagged down a police sergeant and the suspects were arrested on assault charges.

The victim took 60 stitches at Brookdale Hospital.

A popular barber was found slain in his Morris Heights apartment yesterday.

The body of Pedro Cabrera, 49, was found in the living room of his apartment on Elliot Place just after noon. He had suffered wounds to his head. Cabrera operated his business in his apartment and was a fixture in the neighborhood for more than 15 years.

MANHATTAN

Two thieves were arrested after a violent Chelsea mugging, authorities said yesterday.

Eric Matos, 22, and Valentin Cirino, 26, accosted the 20-year-old victim on West 34th Street near 10th Avenue at about 7:40 a.m. Sunday, cops said. The pair allegedly assaulted the victim, then Matos grabbed the victim’s bag, sources said. The victim called 911 and cops soon nabbed the suspects.

An unlicensed driver was captured after he stole a yellow cab and ran six red lights in Harlem, authorities said yesterday.

Aime Diendere, 32, jumped into the cab with the keys in the ignition near Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 124th Street at 4:10 a.m. Sunday, sources said. He took off in the vehicle, which had been left unattended in a shift change, sped through the red lights and crashed into another vehicle. Police arrested Diendere and found heroin in his possession, cops said. No one was injured.

He was hit with reckless-endangerment and grand-larceny charges, with other raps pending.

An argument between two Lower East Side roommates landed one behind bars and the other in the hospital, authorities said yesterday.

Xiao Gao, 29, was drinking with his 28-year-old roommate in their Canal Street apartment near Orchard Street at 10 p.m. last Friday when Gao became enraged for unknown reasons, sources said. Gao pulled a pocketknife and slashed the man across the neck.

The victim was treated at Bellevue Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested Gao on an attempted-murder charge.

Police nabbed a man who swiped a woman’s methadone bottle and tossed her to the ground in the East Village, authorities said yesterday.

Alexis Calbajar, 29, allegedly took the bottle from the 41-year-old woman on Broadway at East 14th Street at 4:20 p.m. Saturday.

When the woman tried to take it back, Calbajar roughed her up and fled, sources said.

Minutes later, cops grabbed Calbajar and charged him with robbery.

STATEN ISLAND

A drunken motorist and his passenger were arrested after police spotted them driving erratically in Dongan Hills, authorities said yesterday.

Anthony Godoy, 21, was driving south on Seaview Avenue at Mason Avenue at 1 a.m. Tuesday when cops pulled over his Cadillac, sources said.

Officers noticed Godoy’s speech was slurred and he reeked of alcohol, cops said.

He allegedly refused a Breathalyzer test and was cuffed on DWI charges.

His passenger, Thomas Laponte, allegedly jumped from the back seat, threw punches at the cops and screamed, “If you’re gonna arrest him, you’re gonna have to arrest me, too.”

Cops obliged.
