A Fire Department honcho has agreed to pay a $2,000 fine for asking subordinates to fix his personal Harley-Davidson motorcycle, officials said yesterday.
Assistant Commissioner James Basile admitted that he arranged to have the bike he bought online in December 2003 repaired on “nights and weekends” by a subordinate, without pay.
