BLAZE SENDS MAN TO HOSP

A fire tore through a Brooklyn home yesterday, causing one man to collapse from smoke inhalation and sending plumes of black smoke out to the street.

The blaze broke out at around 10 p.m. in a second-floor apartment at 444 Hancock St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, officials said.

“There was very dark smoke coming out of the front door,” said a woman who lives across the street. “It was a huge dark cloud.”

The lone victim, who was described by witnesses as in his 50s, was rushed to Woodhull Hospital.
