PICNIC DAD SHOT IN PARK

A man picnicking with his family in a Bronx park last night was fighting for his life after he was hit by a stray bullet.

The 34-year-old man, whose name was withheld, was attending a party in Pelham Bay Park when two men began fighting nearby at about 9 p.m., a witness said.

One of them squeezed off several shots, which missed his intended target. But one bullet struck the picnicker in the chest. He was in critical condition at Jacobi Hospital.

The shooter fled in a green Toyota with a Connecticut license plate, cops said.
