We hear that the Cardinals have added recently acquired pitcher Mike Maroth to their roster. Cards manager Tony LaRussa plans on starting Maroth tonight at Shea Stadium.
Maroth has posted a 50-62 career record over six big-league seasons. The lefty is currently 5-2 with a 5.06 ERA. Tonight, Maroth and the Cards will face New York Mets ace Jorge Sosa who is 6-3 so far this season with a 4.05 ERA.
