MODERATE MUSLIMS: THE TRUTH COMES OUT

THE ISSUE: U.S. Muslims who justify suicide bombings to defend Islam.

The recent poll of Muslims in the United States only serves to highlight what many of us know as the myth of the Muslim moderates (“A Hair-Raising Poll,” Editorial, May 23).

If nearly half of American Muslims polled consider themselves Muslims first and Americans second, the nightmare scenario of a fifth column is no xenophobe’s fantasy, as so often depicted by liberal apologists. It is as real as it gets.

In their usual fashion, the media have engaged in biased reporting in stating that 25 percent of young American Muslims support suicide bombings in certain circumstances.

What they cover up is that most support for suicide bombings centers around Israel’s illegal, immoral and murderous occupation of Palestinian land.

This, of course, is the major cause of the Mideast conflict. Due to the United States’ tacit support of Israel’s colonialism with billions of dollars of annual military assistance, it is a major cause of distrust and hatred of America, as well.

The media conveniently ignore that Israel’s 40-year illicit occupation not only provokes most of the violence but also violates international law, U.N. resolutions and the Fourth Geneva Convention.

Why would anyone be shocked at the results of this study?

I’m sure that the percentage is actually much higher but that some just don’t admit it.

The Muslim community has never taken a stand against its terrorist brothers, and its silence speaks volumes.

Why are they in a country they despise so much? If America is so bad that its citizens must die in bombings, go somewhere else.

Why they are even allowed to enter this country is beyond my understanding.

Between illegal aliens and Muslims, our country is being destroyed while we silently watch.

Your editorial on this subject is hair-raising indeed. It’s a real wake-up call to our liberal politicians and the result of their open-border immigration laws.

What the editorial failed to note is the large contingent of left-wing loonies and the hate-America crowd that embraces these people and their murderous ways.

Unless we change dramatically and do so real soon, this country will resemble Israel’s high-military presence on every street corner in a few years. It’s a sad but very realistic possibility.

Members of no other religion on the face of this Earth seek to destroy the United States in the name of that religion. Even the Buddhist monks who hated U.S. policy during the Vietnam War sought only to set themselves aflame.

But now we have to coddle these warped-minded extremist Muslims who are happy to see the very country that gave them sanctuary from repressive governments go up in flames.

We have to be careful not to rub them the wrong way, lest they do their little jihad dance.

Enough. If you don’t like it here, get out. We’ll help in the process.

“A Hair-Raising Poll” should be enough to clip the minds of the idiotic thoughts that created political correctness.

Now comes the mess of identifying who’s here to kill us and who wishes for a happy and prosperous life. I am afraid that Osama bin Laden’s wishes have come true.

Time is running out, and we had better change our ways.

To satisfy some of our so-called leaders, who are hungry for votes, we’ve allowed these fanatics to get a stronghold on our soil. Lives will be wasted because of a desire for power.

If we know that the intention of some Muslims is to start suicide bombings in America, why aren’t they deported before they have the chance?

What are we waiting for, another major attack on innocent people?

It’s time to stop being politically correct, take the boxing gloves off, and fight these people the way we fought other wars in the past: Bomb them into submission.
