TEMPS WILL PLUMMET WEATHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT

Boing!!! After springing up to yesterday’s record-melting 86 degrees, get set to plunge back to the 50s later this week.

The Big Apple can also expect rain later tomorrow, and maybe Thursday and Friday, too.

“It’s spring. Temperatures are going to jump up and down,” AccuWeather meteorologist Marshall Moss said yesterday after it hit 86 at 4:37 p.m. in Central Park – breaking the record for the date of 85 set in 1996.

At La Guardia Airport, the record high of 81 degrees set in 1973 was broken when it hit 82. Yesterday was the fourth straight day of temperatures over 70 degrees and we can expect a high of 78 today.

It’s downhill from there. Look for highs of 63 tomorrow, 57 on Thursday and 55 on Friday.
