A ruthless mugger is being sought for more than a dozen attacks on women and elderly men in the Morris Heights and University Heights sections of The Bronx, police said yesterday.
The thug, 5-foot-11 and about 150 pounds, generally strikes in the early morning, targeting unsuspecting victims leaving or entering their apartment buildings.
He attacked 12 women and three elderly men between Sept. 1 and Nov. 7.
Each victim was either pushed to the ground or placed in a choke hold before the thug grabbed cash or personal property from them. None of the victims was seriously hurt.
