A sadistic killer who burned, beat and raped a college student said yesterday that stabbing his lawyer in an unsuccessful courtroom escape attempt was “the most fun” he’s ever had.
Before being hit with an additional 22 years for the escape try, Kayson Pearson, 24, who is serving life for the unspeakably brutal murder of the young woman, told the stunned courtroom, “We did it for fun. It was fun to see a system that has so much power and control lose it in a second.”
Troy Hendrix, 22, his accomplice in both the murder of Ramona Moore and the failed escape on Jan. 19, 2006, also got 22 years added to his life sentence.
The pair had also said their 2003 attack on Moore was fun.
