Long Island police have arrested a New Cassel man for the suffocation murder of his neighbor – an elderly neighborhood matriarch – in September.
Nassau County cops yesterday charged Frederick Jenkins with the murder of 88-year-old Evelyn Everette in her own bed on Sept. 4.
Police said Everette invited Jenkins into her home unaware that he sought to rob her.
Jenkins, 49, who moved to Bay Shore after the murder, was arraigned yesterday in Nassau District Court in Hempstead on second-degree murder charges.
