QNS. COUPLE IN ‘BABY BEAT’ SHOCK

The parents of a Queens infant were being questioned last night after they tried to dump him in a hospital with a fractured skull and third-degree friction burns on his hands, police sources said.

The baby, identified only as Kevin, was in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital.

Cops were looking into the possibility the baby had been beaten and his hands bound with rubber bands around a pacifier.

The 16-year-old mother and 32-year-old father tried to leave the 6-month-old at the hospital under Safe Haven laws – which apply only to newborns under 10 days old, sources said.
