CELLPHONE ‘RAPIST’ ARRESTED

A sex fiend who preyed on teens after promising them free cellphones was arrested in a Bronx apartment last night, cops said.

DNA evidence left behind after attacks in Harlem and Claremont Park in The Bronx last summer led detectives to Leonel Solis, 32, who was charged with one of the rapes last night.

Cops said Solis lured victims into his van with the promise of phones and then sexually assaulted them at knifepoint when they refused to have sex.

One of his alleged victims was a 15-year-old girl, who was raped near Claremont Park on May 4, 2005, after she refused to have sex.

After Solis threw her out of the van, he creepily told her, “I’ll see you later,” police sources said.

Solis is also a suspect in the June 3, 2005 attack on a 12-year-old who was walking on West 125th Street. She was molested in the van but fled before she could be raped.

Solis has a rap sheet that includes arrests for drug and weapons possession.
