Former “Sopranos” star Lillo Brancato’s alleged cop-killing cohort is asking a judge to shoot the gun out of evidence.
The .357 Magnum – which cops say accused murderer Steven Armento boasted was bigger and better than Officer Daniel Enchautegui’s 9 mm pistol – should be suppressed as evidence because there was no legitimate legal reason to seize it, defense lawyer William Flack says in court papers.
Enchautegui, who was off duty when trying to stop a burglary near his Pelham Bay home in December, managed to wound both Armento and Brancato before succumbing to his injuries, allegedly inflicted by Armento.
Armento claims the gun was seized in an “illegal, warrantless search.”
