GUILTY PLEA IN MEDIC’S SLAY

A gun-toting unemployed man yesterday admitted in Queens Supreme Court that he shot a paramedic, ending the life of a man who’d dedicated his working hours to saving others.

Anthony O’Connor, 45, pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and Justice Robert Hanophy promised to lock him up for 17 ½ years.

On Feb. 22, 2004, O’Connor encountered off-duty paramedic Erik Gonzalez, 30, at a bar in Sunnyside. The two argued and O’Connor drew a .38 revolver and fired it once at Gonzalez.
