A Long Island mom saw her dreams of being named Mother of the Year go up in smoke after cops busted her for letting her teenage son puff on some marijuana in a car, Suffolk County police said yesterday.
Linda Behrens, 40, was arrested Tuesday in Ronkonkoma after two plainclothes police officers caught her and her boyfriend in the pot-smoke-filled car with her 14-year-old son, cops said.
The officers said they spotted a bag of the drug in the car and discovered the two adults had given the boy a joint.
The driver, Matthew Donegan, 39, and Behrens were charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal possession of marijuana.
Donegan was also charged with criminal sale of marijuana, driving while impaired by drugs, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
