WASHINGTON – Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton begs for donor dollars in a new letter to her base supporters, casting herself as the victim of a GOP attack machine – despite trouncing her Senate rivals in the polls and the piggy bank.
The fund-raising memo doesn’t mention the Iraq war – a hot-button issue for Dems she has tried to finesse by slamming strategy without bashing the invasion itself.
