A young English aristocrat who mysteriously dropped dead in Greenwich Village a month after the hacked-up body of his father was found in the French Alps died of natural causes, the city Medical Examiner’s office said.
Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 28, the 11th Earl of Shaftesbury, died of a heart attack May 15, said spokeswoman Ellen Borakove yesterday.
Ashley-Cooper’s collapse in a friend’s downtown apartment came on the heels of the April 6 discovery of his dad’s dismembered body. (p. 19 Sports)
