JOHN “JUNIOR” GOTTI’S LAWYER WAS TRAINED BY THE ATTORNEYS WHO HELPED HIS DAD …

John “Junior” Gotti’s lawyer was trained by the attorneys who helped his dad earn the moniker “Teflon Don.”

Jeffrey Lichtman, 40, worked nearly six years in the office of Gerald Shargel, a distinguished trial attorney who stepped into the spotlight by successfully defending the late mob boss.

“I’m very confident in Jeff to the point of handing my life to him,” the younger Gotti told The Post.

A lawyer with a reputation for tenacity and a caustic sense of humor, Lichtman struck out on his own in 1999. A graduate of Duke Law School, he has recently taken on such diverse clients as a trio targeted in a price-fixing probe of AIG, rapper The Game and disgraced cop Thomas Rachko.

When he’s not swamped in legal work, Lichtman spends time with his wife and identical twin boys named after Civil War generals, Jackson and Grant.

“He’s very smart, very tenacious, he can be very funny. I’ll think he’ll be very effective in this case,” Shargel said.
