Accused mob cop Louis Eppolito’s Las Vegas home was packed with unauthorized police paperwork, pictures of him posing with snakes and knives, and a newspaper clipping about John Gotti.
Eppolito, 56, and his friend Stephen Caracappa – another disgraced cop – allegedly used their positions within the NYPD to leak sensitive information to the Mafia, which was used to carry out several gangland rubouts. They are expected to face trial this fall.
Documents on mob murders, police lab-analysis reports, crime-scene photos, license-plate checks, mug shots and police notebooks filled with names and numbers were also found.
