KNICKS EYEBALL PROSPECTS

Knick President Isiah Thomas, coach Herb Williams and the club’s army of scouts descended on Chicago yesterday for the four-day pre-draft camp that begins tonight with 60-plus prospects.

It’s unlikely the Knicks will have any coaching announcement this week, but Williams’ candidacy grows stronger by the minute, as his appearance in Chicago attests.

The Knicks have two first-round picks – at No. 8 and No. 30, plus the 39th selection. Those last two picks could be among those competing in Chicago. Kentucky center Randolph Morris could be a possibility at 30.

Thomas is also desperate for a shooting guards. High-schoolers Gerald Green and Martell Webster and rising Texas A&M gunner Antoine Wright are possibilities at No. 8.

The Knicks plan to work out Wright and interview Webster Friday.
