In a proposal that left a Jersey girl’s head in the clouds, Kenn Van Nest asked for her hand in marriage 800 feet in the air.
The 31-year-old had told his girlfriend of five years that he wanted to fly her over fields on which he was thinking of hunting.
Instead, when Megan Smith, also 31, of Neptune, looked out the window, she saw what she’d been longing to hear – “Megan will U marry me?” – etched into the ground.
The couple plans to tie the knot in October 2006.
