CUNY COLLEGES GIVE BEST BANG FOR YOUR BOOK$

A top-notch education at a bargain-basement price is in the city’s back yard, according to The Princeton Review.

The company ranked City University’s Brooklyn College and Queens College seventh and eighth, respectively, on its list of “best value” campuses in the country.

No other school in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut even cracked the Top 10 of the 81 schools featured in “America’s Best Value Colleges,” which hits bookstores today. Tuition at both schools runs a modest $4,000 for in-state students, and financial grants for freshmen average $5,000 at Queens and $4,000 at Brooklyn.

Rob Franek, editorial director for The Princeton Review, cited Brooklyn’s first-rate science and business programs and Queens’ top-quality accounting program.
