STARR REPORT

Snow in September

“GMA Weekend” co-anchor Kate Snow is expecting her second child, and will officially announce the news on tomorrow’s show (8-9 a.m./ Ch. 7). It will be the second child for Kate and her husband, 107.1 DJ Chris Bro, who welcomed Zachary two-and- a-half years ago.

“The baby is due September 5, which ironically is Labor Day,” says Kate. “Zachary was early, so we’re sort of hopeful this baby will be early, too.”

Kate said she’s a little over four months along, and figured it was time to “officially” break the news.

“I’m starting to show, though it’s not too obvious on TV,” she says. “A lot of my friends who don’t know have been calling and saying things like ‘You look a little different,’ kind of probing around.”

Kate says her colleagues are “plotting” to give her some gifts on tomorrow’s show. “I have no idea what that will be, but knowing [co-anchor] Bill Weir, it could be anything,” she says.

Veteran actor Earl Holliman sent word yesterday that his pal, actor Anthony George, died March 16 in Newport Beach, Calif. He was 84. George was best known for starring in the CBS series “Checkmate,” which aired on CBS (1960-62). He also played Burke Devlin on “Dark Shadows” for one season.
