FBI’S D’AMURO TO CALL IT A DAY

The head of the FBI’s New York office, a 25-year veteran widely recognized as an authority in international terrorism, is retiring at the end of the month, officials said yesterday.

Pasquale “Pat” D’Amuro, 49, a native of upstate New York and a graduate of Niagara University, will sign off on March 31, citing personal reasons.

The FBI said it had not settled on his replacement.

D’Amuro was appointed special agent in 1979 and served as assistant director of the Counterterrorism Division.
