*** Police are hunting a middle-aged man (sketch above) who has twice tried to sexually assault Asian teenagers on the Lower East Side.

Police said that on Feb. 3 around 3:30 a.m., the man followed a 14-year-old girl into the a building on Montgomery Street, approached her and grabbed the girl’s buttocks.

He ran off when another resident came out of an apartment.

Three hours later, he struck on Pike Street, again grabbing a victim from behind, cops said.

He led her to the basement and tried to sexually assault her before being frightened off by noise, cops said.

He fled in an early-’90s Honda sedan.

The second victim was treated at Beth Israel Hospital for minor injuries.

The assailant is described as a white or Hispanic man, approximately 35 to 45 years old, 6 feet tall, 250 pounds and wearing a baseball hat and black leather coat.

*** A note-passing thief robbed an Upper West Side bank, authorities said yesterday.

The suspect, described as a man in his 50s, walked into a Commerce Bank branch at 2109 Broadway at 3:39 p.m. on Thursday and slipped a teller a demand note, police said. The employee complied and handed over $500, cops said.

*** A 19-year-old man was nabbed for slashing a straphanger in the face with razor after an argument, police sources said yesterday.

Sahara Biennia, of Harlem, allegedly sliced a 27-year-old Long Island man on a northbound No. 2 train at 5:50 p.m. on Monday, police sources said.

According to sources, Bynoe began fighting with the victim as soon as the man got on the subway at Fulton Street.

Once they reached 34th Street and Seventh Avenue, Bynoe allegedly slashed the victim on the right side of his face, police sources said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and released. Bynoe was placed under arrest on Thursday, after witnesses identified him.

THE BRONX

*** Bronx Gang Unit cops busted a Bloods gang member on weapons charges in Bedford Park yesterday, police sources said.

Antoine Johnson, 21, was arrested after cops executed a search warrant inside his apartment at 2821 Briggs Ave. at 6 a.m., sources said.

During the raid, detectives found two 9 mm semiautomatic handguns – one that was loaded and another unloaded, but reported stolen in North Carolina – and $970 in cash, police sources said.

Johnson is charged with two counts of weapons possession.

*** Four men carrying a safe down a Pelham Bay street were arrested after a passer-by spotted them and tipped off cops, police sources said yesterday.

A citizen saw Alan Salman, 18, Musab Alsilwi, 19, Allan Mouneve, 18, and Ibrahim Quhshi, 20, going to a car with a security safe in their arms around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday and flagged down a 45th Precinct police car, sources said.

When officers approached the car, they found the safe and a handgun in the back seat, sources said.

After a quick canvass of the neighborhood, cops discovered there had been a burglary at 2047 Mayflower Ave., and that the thieves stole a safe, police sources said.

*** A 23-year-old man was fatally shot yesterday afternoon in Parkchester.

Police said the victim was shot once in the left knee and once in the left side of his chest at 4 p.m. near 1661 Metropolitan Ave.

The victim, who was not identified, died from the gunshot wounds at Jacobi Hospital 45 minutes later.

Police apprehended a 50-year-old man who sources said was fleeing the scene.

The man, who was chased into a nearby apartment, had not been immediately charged.
