GEST HIRES LAWYER TO BURY LIZA

First there were the allegations about Liza Minnelli’s alcohol-induced super strength. Then David Gest said he needed scores of Botox injections just to make it through the day.

But now their break-up is getting really weird.

Gest is hiring a lawyer best known for allegedly locking a man underneath the floor of his TriBeCa apartment to depose Minnelli next week, The Post has learned.

Gest is retaining Lawrence Omansky to join the legal team for his $10 million assault suit against the Oscar-winning actress – and he wants him, personally, to handle her upcoming legal grilling on Tuesday and Wednesday, a source close to the case said.

Omansky, 55, confirmed he’s been hired and says he plans to focus on the troubled star’s “integrity and credibility.”

Similar issues got Omansky off the hook on kidnapping charges in 2003. That was when he was arrested for allegedly forcing his former business partner to sign papers at knifepoint and then burying him underneath the floorboards of his bathroom.

The alleged victim, Lawrence Schlosser, said he got himself free. But prosecutors dismissed the criminal case, citing serious issues with Schlosser’s “activities and credibility.”
