MAN RATS OUT BRO IN HIT-RUN SLAY

Police yesterday arrested a man for the 2002 hit-and-run killing of a Queens teenager, thanks to a tip from an unlikely source – the suspect’s older brother.

Pierre Badette, 24, was charged in the Nov. 15, 2002, accident in which 15-year-old Matthew Tedesco was killed – but Badette might not have been collared if his brother, Markenzy Badette, 27, hadn’t been arrested last week for stealing checks.

During interrogation, Markenzy told cops that his brother was the driver in the Little Neck Parkway accident. Pierre Badette was soon arrested.

“Knowing who did it is better than not knowing,” said the victim’s father, Russell Tedesco. “What I really need is my son back, but, of course, I’m glad that they caught him.”

Matthew had been struck by a souped-up white sports car as he tried to cross the parkway at Union Turnpike, police said.
