SERIAL KILLER’S PREDICTIONS MIRROR PLANS FOR EXECUTION

Saying that “it’s time for me to die,” serial killer Michael Ross wrote a chilling account on his Web site about how his last days might play out.

That was six years ago.

Now, 48 hours before his execution, the plans for the 45-year-old Ross’ death have been made public – and they seem eerily similar to his morbid conjectures.

In his 1998 account, the man who admitted raping and killing eight women wrote, “The warden is in front of my cell reading the death warrant to me, and several guards are waiting to escort me to the execution chamber.

“They open my door and walk me into a room less than 10 feet away. In the center of that room, I see a large, brown, wooden, very uncomfortable-looking chair with several leather straps attached . . .

“About 10 feet in front of the chair is a cinder-block wall. On the other side of that wall are the official witnesses to my imminent execution. Now things begin to get weird.”

Ross, who will be the first person executed in Connecticut in more than 40 years, believed he would be sent to the electric chair.

But he is scheduled to die by lethal injection at 2:01 a.m. Wednesday.

Thirty minutes before his death, an “execution team” will escort Ross from his holding cell to the execution chamber.

Ross will have a chance to make a final statement and, at exactly 2:01 a.m., the warden will tell the executioner to inject the lethal chemicals.
