Two more Rye children were terrorized last night by a pair of sickos who tried to lure them into a green SUV- the sixth such incident in Rye and nearby Greenwich, Conn., since October.
The 9-year-old boys were walking on Grapal Street near Palisades Road at about 5 p.m. when the SUV, carrying a man and a woman, pulled up beside them.
A woman inside motioned to the kids to come toward the vehicle saying, “Come here, get in the car,” cops said.
Instead, the children ran to a neighbor’s house until it was safe. They then called cops from one of their homes.
The woman was described as white with long brownish hair and long fingernails.
She was wearing a black coat.
The SUV driver matched the description of a man who was involved in the other incidents, Rye Police Commissioner William Connors said.
The driver is white with brown or black hair, which has been described as curly or messy. He has crooked teeth and last night was wearing a black coat.
A woman was believed to be involved in two of the other incidents.
She previously had been described as having blond hair, Connors said.
