Once again, art imitates crime on the streets of New York.
The cast and crew of “Law & Order” (above) were in Times Square, re-creating the May assassination of Diamond District merchant Eduard Nektalov (inset) on Sixth Avenue.
While tourists gawked and buses roared past, characters played by “Law & Order” veteran Jesse Martin and new cast member Dennis Farina investigated the “murder” of a fictional jeweler – the guy lying in the pool of fake blood.
The episode will air next month.
