MANHATTAN (lcf)

* A city correction officer was busted yesterday for trying to pass off phony credit slips to a clerk at Saks Fifth Avenue in Midtown, cops said.

According to investigators, Daryl Scott, assigned to Rikers Island, walked into the department store with the bogus slips at 3 p.m.

It was unclear if he was trying to get cash or store credit in return for the fake receipts.

Scott, 34, was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.

THE BRONX

* An argument turned deadly as an 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed on a Parkchester street, police said yesterday.

William Martinez, 21, and Usama Mirza, 19 were busted yesterday for stabbing Nelson Rojas twice in the chest and once in the head at the corner of Starling and Olmstead avenues on Wednesday night, cops said. It was unclear what sparked the fatal attack.

Rojas was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he died. Martinez, of Raymond Street, and Mirza, of Unionport Avenue, were both charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

STATEN ISLAND

* A man has been arrested for slashing an acquaintance with a box-cutter on a New Brighton street, authorities said yesterday.

Raheen Tilgham, 25, allegedly slashed the man across the face at the corner of Corson Avenue and Jersey Street around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 3.

Tilgham was grabbed by police on Wednesday.

* A man was arrested for soliciting a prostitute in a New Brighton building during an undercover sting operation, authorities said yesterday.

Amado Morales, 28, approached the prostitute in a Park Avenue building at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday and gave her cash after she promised to have sex with him, authorities said.

Undercover detectives grabbed Morales.

BROOKLYN

* Three burglars were arrested for tying up a man and stealing a TV and other electronics from his Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment, authorities said yesterday.

At 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Kevin Rowland, 25, William Wilson, 30, and his brother, Michael, 28, attempted to pry open the front door of the victim’s apartment on Dekalb Avenue near Lewis Avenue, authorities said.

The victim, 33, heard a noise at his door and opened it.

The thieves barged into the apartment and tied the victim to a chair, sources said.

The trio then allegedly took the man’s game system, video-game cartridges and TV set before fleeing.

Later that day, the man’s girlfriend came by, untied him and called police. The suspects were arrested on Wednesday.

* A Bushwick couple were arrested for attacking each other in their apartment, law-enforcement sources said yesterday.

Oscar Comas and his girlfriend, Evelyn Morales, had been drinking when they clashed in their apartment on Wilson Avenue near Starr Street at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said.

Comas told police Morales pulled a knife and slashed him on the left arm and stomach during an argument.

Morales told cops Comas picked up a broken bottle and cut her on the arm. She also told cops Comas lashed her with a stick.

Both suspects were arrested that day.

* An East New York man menaced his girlfriend with a screwdriver and threatened to kill her, law-enforcement sources said yesterday.

James Holloman, 32, engaged in an argument with his 23-year-old girlfriend in their apartment on Cleveland Street near Hegeman Avenue around 1 p.m. Wednesday after she asked Holloman to leave, authorities said.

Holloman grabbed a screwdriver, put it to the woman’s throat and threatened to kill her, police sources said.

The victim called 911.

Police arrived and arrested Holloman.

* A letter containing anti-Semitic slurs was found at a Williamsburg apartment building, police said yesterday.

The vile letter was found attached to the building on North 4th Street near Bedford Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police are also investigating another Williamsburg bias incident, in which a swastika was found scrawled in a playground.

The vandalism was discovered on a slide at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Penn Playground at Penn Street and Wythe Avenue.
