DEAD-ON KILLERS: With a homicidal moniker and Sin City roots, the Killers’ music ought to be more sinister than their pop/rock style reveals. The quartet, whose “Hot Fuss” CD has spawned hits like “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me,” are among the brightest acts in contemporary music. With power chords and synthesizer swirls supporting Brandon Flowers’ vocals, the Las Vegas band’s sound is new yet carries the familiar tones of the English art bands of the ’80s. The Killers play the Bowery Ballroom Monday; tickets are $14. Since their song book is still fairly thin, expect the set to be mostly culled from the group’s debut album. Bowery Ball room, 6 Delancey St., near the Bowery; (212) 533-2111.
