BACK AT THE ‘CASINO’ RANCH

THEY all know Wayne Shadd, the marketing director of Las Vegas’ Green Valley Ranch and one of the unlikely stars of the Discovery Channel’s “American Casino.”

And even if Shadd doesn’t know who they are, the smiling casino exec moves through the late-night, booze-fueled crowd shaking hands and doling out hugs to total strangers and groups of friends who’ve parked themselves for a night in the high- end resort’s tony nightclubs.

“It’s still so surreal,” Shadd, 34, tells The Post of what it’s like to see himself and his co- work ers on the hit real ity show, which chronicles the highs and lows of their work and home lives, taking viewers behind the scenes at one of Vegas’ smaller but increasingly popular resorts.

An episode on Sept. 3 will pay tribute to Shadd’s best friend and co-worker, Michael Tata, 33, who ran the Ranch’s hotel until he died suddenly earlier this summer.

“The show has given us all insight into each other,” Shadd says of the small resort’s staff. “It’s a taken a tight-knit family and made it tighter.”
