A Brooklyn mother accidentally smothered her 2-month-old baby when she rolled on top of him in her sleep yesterday, lawenforcement sources said.
The mom had been sleeping next to little Neheimah Nixon at her home on Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, when she woke and found him unconscious and not breathing at about 6:15 p.m., police said.
The panicked mother called 911, but Neheimah was pronounced dead about an hour later at Coney Island Hospital, cops said.
An autopsy will be performed on the infant to determine the exact cause of death.
