A 7-month-old baby died from the heat in the back seat of his family car yesterday – apparently after his father forgot he was there, New Jersey police said.
Police in Lakewood have charged Aryeh Katzman, 25, with endangering the welfare of a child after baby Chaim apparently died of dehydration.
Police said they were called to a Lakewood home yesterday afternoon and found the baby in the back seat of a Toyota. The windows had been rolled up.
Investigators believe Katzman forgot that the baby was secured to a car seat when he left the family home yesterday morning. He’s being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
